Heavy Rainfall Leads to School Closures and Timetable Adjustments in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: Continuous rainfall since early morning has disrupted normal life in the city, prompting the district administration to take precautionary measures to ensure the safety of schoolchildren. The District Magistrate announced that all schools up to Class 8 will remain closed until December 30, providing relief to younger students from venturing out in inclement weather.

For higher classes, from Class 9 onwards, the school timings have been adjusted to start after 9:00 AM, allowing safer commuting conditions for older students.

The decision has been welcomed by parents, who expressed concern about their children’s safety amidst waterlogged roads and relentless rain. School authorities have also been instructed to ensure all safety protocols are followed during these altered timings.

Meteorological forecasts suggest the rain may continue for the next few days, making it crucial for authorities and residents to stay vigilant.

This proactive move by the administration showcases its commitment to student safety while ensuring minimal disruption to the academic calendar for senior students.
