Government Relents: Women Wrestlers Released Amid Harassment Allegations

Ghaziabad : Indian Farmer Union’s National Press Coordinator, Shamsher Rana, has provided information that the government has backed down and released Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and Sangeeta Phoghat. The remaining restlers are still under detention.

Meanwhile, at the heart of the ongoing protest, earlier Chaudhary Rakesh Tikait, a prominent leader and spokesperson for the farmers, addressed the gathering of women who had been tirelessly demonstrating at UP Gate in Ghaziabad. With the news of the women wrestlers’ release, he acknowledged their determination and resilience, calling upon all farmers to brace themselves for the upcoming agitations in their struggle for justice and fair treatment.

The atmosphere at the protest was one of hope and solidarity, as hundreds of women, including Mamta Chaudhary, the District President, along with Mamta Chaudhary, a dedicated social worker, Indira Chaudhary, Manisha Chaudhary, Sonia, Richa Chaudhary, Anupama, Sunitha, and numerous others, fervently led the demonstration. They showcased their unity and unwavering spirit, demanding justice for the women wrestlers.

As the protest concluded with a sense of accomplishment and victory, the participating women returned to their homes with a renewed sense of hope. Their determination and success in shedding light on the unjust treatment faced by the marginalized farmers and wrestlers have strengthened their resolve for the upcoming farmer’s movement.
