Ghaziabad : The Indian team for the Women’s Asian Netball Championship to be held in Singapore from September 3 has been announced. Vibha Kumari of Ghaziabad, the only player from Uttar Pradesh, has been selected in the team training and selection trial camp for the Indian team which lasted for three months in Indore. She left for Singapore with the team.
Vibha Kumari from Ghaziabad is the only player from Uttar Pradesh to be included in the Indian team for the Women’s Netball Asian Championship to be held in Singapore. Apart from him, the vice-captain of the team, Sanjana Chaudhary, was selected for the final selection camp.
30 players participated
The camp started in the month of June at Emerald Heights International School in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and went on till the month of August. About 30 players from Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Rajasthan, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu also participated, but on the basis of the performance of 12 players for the final selection, Vibha Kumari from Uttar Pradesh also confirmed her place in the team.
She has left for Singapore with the team that will represent the country at the 12th Asian Women’s Netball Championship to be held in Singapore from September 3-11.
