Ghaziabad’s Shocking Scam: Fake NOCs, Stolen Cars, and a Bizarre Police Twist
Ghaziabad: In a startling revelation in Ghaziabad, a case has emerged involving criminals operating a fake police station outside a legitimate one, duping people by creating fake NOCs to recover stolen cars. The police have arrested three individuals involved in this elaborate scheme that spanned from the NOC station to the police station itself.
The accused, identified as Harish, Prince, and Suraj, were apprehended by the Vijaynagar Police after they allegedly stole vehicles using fake NOCs issued by the fake police station. The operation involved forcibly taking possession of cars and presenting fake letters from what appeared to be legitimate police authorities.
Upon investigation, the police discovered three fake NOCs, believed to be from the Vijaynagar and Lanka police stations in Ghaziabad and Varanasi, respectively. The modus operandi involved stopping individuals with vehicles on loan and coercing them to hand over their cars, using the pretext of a police letter.
The main mastermind behind this operation, a man named Ashish, is still at large, and the police are actively pursuing leads to apprehend him. In addition to the arrests, the police are investigating the involvement of banks and their recovery agents in this fraudulent scheme.
