Ghaziabad Traffic Police Boosts Field Safety with Distribution of 100 AC Helmets and Summer Gear

Ghaziabad, May 17, 2025 : In a commendable initiative aimed at ensuring the well-being of traffic personnel on duty, the Ghaziabad Traffic Police today distributed 100 temperature-controlled helmets (AC helmets), umbrellas, water bottles, safety goggles, and other essential summer gear to traffic officers posted at critical and high-traffic locations across the city and its outskirts.
This proactive step comes under the guidance of the Commissionerate of Police, Ghaziabad, and was executed under the supervision of the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic). The gear was distributed at various high-traffic and sensitive points such as Vaishali, Model Town Sector 62, Gaur Green, Media House, Bhojpur, Hapur Chungi, Abhay Khand, Rajnagar Extension, Lal Kuan, and Mohan Nagar.
With summer temperatures soaring, this move is aimed at protecting traffic personnel from heatstroke and dehydration, allowing them to perform their duties effectively without compromising their health. The AC helmets, in particular, are designed to regulate internal temperatures and reduce heat-related stress during long hours of duty under direct sunlight.
Speaking on the occasion, officials emphasized the importance of discipline and courteous behavior while enforcing traffic laws. Alongside the gear distribution, traffic personnel were also briefed on strict enforcement actions under the ongoing special drive. Key focus areas for enforcement include:
- Overloading passengers in auto-rickshaws or e-rickshaws
- Carrying passengers on the front seat of autos
- Riding two-wheelers without helmets
- Triple-riding on two-wheelers
- Driving four-wheelers without seat belts
- Drunk driving

Assistant Commissioners of Traffic Police and other senior traffic officials were present during the event and addressed the personnel on their critical role in maintaining safe and smooth transportation for the citizens of Ghaziabad.
This initiative reflects a growing commitment to both the safety of traffic police personnel and the enforcement of safer roads for the public.
