Ghaziabad, January 1, 2025: In a major development aimed at resolving the city’s parking issues, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation launched its first-ever multi-level car parking facility on New Year’s Day. The inauguration ceremony, led by Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik, saw him alongside city officials inspecting the new facility and familiarizing the public with its features. A total of 35 to 40 cars were parked on the first day, marking a successful start.
During the event, the Municipal Commissioner expressed his best wishes for the new year and congratulated everyone on the inauguration of the multi-level parking. He also interacted with several users, who praised the initiative for its potential to solve the city’s parking problems.
Key Features of the Multi-Level Parking Facility The new parking facility is a significant step in enhancing the city’s infrastructure, offering state-of-the-art features. Dr. Sanjeev, the in-charge of parking, mentioned that the multi-level parking was awarded to Sunil Garg & Company after completing the tender process under the leadership of the Municipal Commissioner. A parking fee of ₹36,42,000 for one year has already been deposited for the facility.
The parking structure includes 20 charging stations for electric vehicle (EV) users, making it a green initiative as well. The facility also provides online booking options for users, who can check the parking availability before arriving, ensuring a seamless experience.
Convenient Payment Methods For ease of payment, the parking system offers multiple options, including cash, online payments, and fast-tag facilities. Users can also use lifts to reach various levels of the parking structure. Additionally, there are separate restrooms for men and women available on-site.
Parking Fees and Subscription The parking charges are as follows:
- For four-wheelers: ₹25 for 3 hours, ₹100 for 12 hours, and ₹200 for a full day (day and night).
- For two-wheelers: ₹10 for 3 hours, ₹50 for 12 hours.
- For bicycles: ₹5 for 4 hours, ₹20 for 12 hours.
In addition to this, monthly parking passes are available:
- Four-wheelers: ₹1500 for daytime (12 hours), ₹1750 for night (12 hours).
- Two-wheelers: ₹600 for daytime (12 hours), ₹700 for night (12 hours).
With this new facility, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has taken a step forward in addressing the growing parking needs of the city, while also promoting eco-friendly transportation options.
