Federation Assembly Hosts General Meeting in Ashiana Palm Court Society

Ghaziabad: A general assembly of the Federation was held today at the Club Hall of Ashiana Palm Court Society at 12:00 PM, concluding with a luncheon at 2:50 PM. The meeting, presided over by Federation President Sachin Tyagi and conducted by General Secretary Dr. Seema Sharma, included numerous significant discussions and decisions, most notably the decision to change the Federation’s name.
President Sachin Tyagi explained that the use of “AOA” in the Federation’s name had caused confusion among residents, preventing clear communication about the organization’s activities. Additionally, another organization with a similar name was active in the area. To resolve this, it was decided to remove “AOA” from the name and add “Societies” instead. Henceforth, the organization will be known as the Federation of Raj Nagar Extension Societies, abbreviated as FRENS. This new name, sounding like the word “friends,” aims to foster a sense of belonging.
The meeting also addressed the issue of stray dogs, with members deciding to establish feeding points outside the society premises. Meetings with relevant authorities will be arranged to implement this decision. Another topic was the nuisance caused by loudspeakers, with members agreeing to personally contact organizers to reduce volume and cease use once the allotted time ends. Non-compliance will lead to reporting the matter to the police and other departments.
General Secretary Dr. Seema Sharma highlighted recent agreements with Vivekananda College, Delhi University, and Narayana Hospital, which were appreciated by all members. Special privilege cards were distributed to members, offering discounts ranging from 10% to 20% on future expenses, a benefit extended to all Raj Nagar Extension residents.
