Rajnagar Extension – The VVIP Addresses Society in Rajnagar Extension conducted its executive committee elections under the supervision of Election Officer and Assistant Director of Fisheries Department, Ghaziabad, Ms. Richa. Following the pre-announced schedule, the voting took place on June 30, 2024.
Federation of Rajnagar Extension AOA President Sachin Tyagi reported that the election was conducted through a closed-ballot process among the apartment owners. The voting commenced at 9:00 AM and concluded at 4:00 PM, with 822 out of the total 1294 eligible voters participating, resulting in a voter turnout of 63.52%. While this figure reflects a decent level of awareness, it was slightly lower due to the voting day being a holiday.
The election saw a total of 20 candidates vying for positions, and the vote counting was completed by approximately 10:15 PM. Saurabh Tyagi emerged as the top candidate, securing 728 votes. Yajnadatt Tyagi followed with 614 votes. The other successful candidates were Rajeev Tyagi, Madan Kumar, Sachin Kumar, Meenu Gupta, Priyanshu Balyan, Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Sandeep Kumar, and Yogesh Tyagi.
Federation President Sachin Tyagi was present during the announcement of the results. He congratulated all the newly elected members and extended his best wishes. He also advised them to make joint decisions for the betterment of the society.
Yajnadatt Tyagi, the head of the victorious group and newly elected executive committee member, announced that the first meeting of the executive members would take place today, July 1, 2024, in compliance with the Uttar Pradesh Apartment Act. During this meeting, the elected members will discuss and decide on the positions for the upcoming term. Following this, a grand swearing-in ceremony for the new executive committee is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, July 7, 2024.
