Eklavya Shooting Academy Shines at 67th National Shooting Championship

Ghaziabad: The talented shooters of Eklavya Shooting Academy, Bhagirath Public School, have made their mark at the 67th National Shooting Championship held at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, Delhi, from December 13, 2024, to January 6, 2025.
Medal Tally and Notable Performances:
- Pawan Yadav clinched a Silver Medal in the Point .32 Bore Center Fire Pistol 25m ISSF Senior Men’s category with an impressive score of 567/600. He further showcased his prowess by winning a Gold Medal in the .22 Bore 25m Standard Pistol ISSF Senior Men’s category with a score of 554/600.
- Wajid achieved the National Renown Score in the .22 Bore Free Pistol 50m Junior Men’s ISSF category with a score of 502/600 and qualified for the India Shooting Team Trials in the 10m Air Pistol Junior Men’s category with a score of 561/600.
- Ranveer Singh qualified for the India Shooting Team Trials in both the 10m Air Pistol Junior Men and Youth Men categories with an excellent score of 566/600.
- Ashish Rana excelled in multiple categories, including the Point .32 Bore Center Fire Pistol 25m ISSF Senior Men Civilian category with a score of 569/600, qualifying for the India Team Trials. He also performed remarkably in the .22 Bore 25m Standard, 10m Air Pistol, and .22 Bore 50m Free Pistol events.
- Ishita Malik demonstrated exceptional versatility by qualifying for the India Team Trials in multiple categories, including 10m Air Pistol (Junior and Senior Women), .22 Bore Sports Pistol (Junior and Senior Women), .22 Bore Standard Pistol (Junior and Senior Women), and .22 Bore 50m Free Pistol Junior Women.
- Ranveer Chaudhary qualified for the India Team Trials in the 10m Air Pistol Junior and Youth categories with a score of 566/600.
Coach’s Vision and Players’ Gratitude:
Shooting coach Rahees Malik expressed pride in his team’s performance, highlighting that all seven participants from the academy qualified for the India Shooting Team Trials. He noted Pawan Yadav’s three-medal victory as a standout achievement.
Upon returning to the academy, the winners were warmly welcomed with sweets and floral garlands by their peers. The players expressed gratitude to Coach Malik for his guidance and support.
Recognition Ceremony:
Bhagirath Public School Director Anadi Sukul and Bhagirath Seva Sansthan Director Amitabh Sukul honored the achievers with commemorative tokens, applauding their dedication and success.
