Digital Glitch: Ghaziabad Bank Transfers Rs. 77.75 Lakh to Wrong Account, Rectified After Alert

Ghaziabad: In a startling revelation, a case of gross oversight by a bank has come to light in Ghaziabad. A young man, Varun found an astonishing sum of Rs. 77,75,000 erroneously deposited into his account due to a digital glitch.

Upon discovering the unexpected windfall, the conscientious youth promptly alerted the bank manager about the anomaly. The manager confirmed that the money was mistakenly transferred due to a digital error, and it was intended for the Uttar Pradesh government’s treasury at Jawahar Bhawan.

The incident unfolded at the Union Bank located in the New Age Market of Ghaziabad. Following the young man’s disclosure, the bank swiftly rectified the error and retrieved the transferred funds.

This incident underscores the importance of vigilance and integrity, with the young man setting a commendable example of honesty by promptly reporting the banking error.
