Delhi-NCR Schools on High Alert After Bomb Threat Emails

New Delhi: Panic gripped over 100 schools across Delhi-NCR following bomb threat emails received. According to the police, investigations are underway based on the threatening emails regarding the bombs. As a precautionary measure, all schools have been closed and children sent back home. SOPs are being followed rigorously.

The national capital, Delhi, and Noida witnessed a surge in tension as bomb threats rattled approximately 100 schools. Delhi Police, along with bomb disposal squads and SWAT teams, rushed to the locations and commenced thorough searches. Among these schools, about 60 are situated in East Delhi, South Delhi, and West Delhi, while Noida and Greater Noida account for 40 schools. Police have evacuated schools and are conducting detailed inspections of the premises.

Police Response:

Delhi Police stated that investigations are ongoing based on the intimidating emails. Reports suggest that these threatening emails were sent from abroad at 4 AM. Schools have reported receiving the threatening emails. Schools have advised parents to take their children back home. Several schools received similar emails. Even after conducting searches, nothing suspicious has been found.

Police and Cyber Cell Investigation:

Efforts are being made to trace the IP address of the threatening emails. So far, no concrete lead has been established regarding the origin of the emails. The Cyber Cell unit is also involved in identifying the sender’s location through the IP address.

Widespread Panic:

The threat emails have caused widespread panic, affecting more than 100 schools across Delhi-NCR. Over 50 schools in Delhi alone received bomb threat information. While most schools have completed inspections, no suspicious items have been found yet. The situation is being closely monitored, and SOPs are being followed diligently.

The email’s origin and motive remain unclear as investigations continue.
