Dance of Democracy : Until 9 o’clock, 8.50% voting took place in Ghaziabad. Whose luck will shine?

Ghaziabad : The second round of municipal elections in 38 districts of Uttar Pradesh has started. Since morning, voters have started arriving at polling stations. Voting has started for the UP municipal elections in Ghaziabad since 7 am. In the second phase of voting, there are 12 candidates for the mayor’s post, 95 for the chairman, and 1,730 candidates for the councilor/member positions from the Ghaziabad seat. From a security point of view, Ghaziabad has been divided into 26 zones and 128 sectors.

Apart from the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, voting has also started at 7 am in Modinagar, Muradnagar, Loni, Khoda, Niwadi, Patla, Faridnagar, and Dasna Nagar Panchayats. There are 606 polling stations and 2,371 polling booths in all these places. There are 128 sensitive and 149 hyper-sensitive polling stations in the district.

There are 15.39 lakh voters in Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. Speaking of Nagar Palikas, the highest number of voters are in Loni with 5.21 lakh. In Ghaziabad and Loni, voting is being done through EVM, while in other panchayats, voters are casting their votes through ballot paper.
