A video recorded by Pandey shows cockroaches crawling among the golgappas (pani puri), turning what should have been a flavorful experience into a stomach-churning sight.
Despite charging sky-high prices and flaunting premium branding, the restaurant has seemingly thrown cleanliness to the winds. The video shows cockroaches moving freely over the food items, a shocking violation of basic health and hygiene norms.
“Even street vendors maintain better cleanliness,” Pandey remarked. “They may not have fancy branding, but at least they care about their customers’ health. Here, we are paying ten times more and getting cockroach-infested food.”
This revelation has sparked outrage among local residents, many of whom frequent eateries in the Rajnagar Extension area. The video has gone viral, with citizens questioning whether the much-advertised “Swachh Bharat” slogans are truly reaching where they matter — onto people’s plates.
Food safety authorities are being urged to take immediate action. Residents are demanding strict inspections of all food outlets in the area to ensure such negligence does not put public health at risk.
As of now, the restaurant in question has not issued an official statement. However, the community’s message is clear: hygiene is not a luxury — it is a basic expectation.
