CM Yogi Adityanath Rallies BJP Workers for Upcoming By-Election in Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad: In a bid to bolster the BJP’s campaign ahead of the upcoming by-election, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a massive gathering of party workers in Ghaziabad on Friday. The event, held as part of a Panna Pramukh (booth-level workers) conference, saw CM Yogi urging supporters to not just win but secure a record-breaking victory.
Speaking passionately, Yogi Adityanath targeted the Samajwadi Party (SP), accusing them of compromising public safety and undermining the faith of the people. “SP poses a threat to the security of our daughters and sisters. The further you keep them from power, the better it is for your well-being,” he asserted. The Chief Minister further criticized SP for their alleged anti-farmer, anti-youth, and anti-women stance, calling them a party that disrespects public sentiment.
“SP’s Track Record of Misgovernance”
Highlighting the BJP’s achievements, CM Yogi contrasted Ghaziabad’s transformation under BJP rule with its past under previous governments. He recalled a time when Ghaziabad was notorious for crime and filth. “Ten years ago, I hesitated to visit Ghaziabad due to its criminal reputation. But today, it stands among the most developed and beautiful cities, thanks to BJP’s commitment to progress,” he said.
He lauded Ghaziabad’s transformation into a smart city, boasting metro connectivity, rapid rail, and improved infrastructure. “Today, our daughters can walk safely at night, and our traders are no longer threatened by kidnappings,” he added, emphasizing the city’s improved law and order situation.
“Respect for Faith and Traditions”
In his address, CM Yogi also spoke about the Election Commission’s decision to reschedule the by-election from November 13 to November 16, respecting the Hindu festival of Kartik Purnima. He criticized the Samajwadi Party for opposing this change, saying, “When Eid’s dates change due to moon sightings, everyone adjusts. But when a constitutional body respects Hindu sentiments, SP objects. This shows their disregard for public faith.”
A Unified Show of Strength
The event saw the presence of several high-profile BJP leaders, including Rajya Sabha MP Anil Aggarwal, State Ministers Sunil Sharma, Narendra Kashyap, and Kapil Dev Aggarwal, along with local BJP candidate Sanjeev Sharma. Former MPs, local MLAs, and several prominent BJP workers and supporters filled the venue, showcasing a strong display of party unity.
Ashu Verma, who conducted the event, energized the crowd by praising Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, stating, “When the Chief Minister speaks from Agra, the entire state turns saffron.” The conference concluded with enthusiastic cheers, as party members vowed to secure a resounding victory in the upcoming by-election.
The event underscored the BJP’s commitment to their slogan, “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Together for Everyone’s Progress), reiterating their focus on inclusive development and public safety.
As the by-election approaches, the BJP’s well-coordinated campaign, led by CM Yogi, aims to consolidate their position and secure a decisive win in Ghaziabad, further cementing their influence in Uttar Pradesh.
