Christmas Prayers Illuminate Ghaziabad Churches

Ghaziabad: The spirit of Christmas was alive and glowing in Ghaziabad as devotees gathered at the Sacred Heart Church, Chaudhary Mor and Central Methodist Church, Ghanta Ghar, to celebrate the festival with prayers and devotion.

A Morning of Prayer and Peace

At the Sacred Heart Church, the congregation began assembling early in the morning. The church, beautifully adorned with fairy lights, poinsettias, and a vibrant nativity scene, resonated with carols that spoke of love, hope, and the birth of Jesus Christ. Families, dressed in festive attire, lit candles and joined hands in prayers led by the parish priest, invoking blessings for unity, health, and happiness.

Meanwhile, at the Central Methodist Church near Ghanta Ghar, the atmosphere was equally serene and uplifting. Devotees came together to sing hymns and participate in the special Christmas service. The choir’s harmonious voices filled the church, creating a divine ambiance. The priest delivered an inspiring sermon, emphasizing the values of compassion, forgiveness, and selflessness.

Community Spirit Shines Bright

Both churches saw a blend of generations, with elders guiding children through the traditions of lighting candles and offering prayers. The exchange of greetings and the warm sense of togetherness reflected the true essence of Christmas—spreading joy and kindness.

A special prayer was offered for the less fortunate, with many families pledging to share their blessings through acts of charity. Volunteers distributed food and gifts to those in need, ensuring that the festive spirit reached every corner of the community.

A Message of Hope

Speaking to the congregation, the priests reminded everyone of the universal message of Christmas—peace and goodwill towards all. They urged people to carry the teachings of Jesus Christ into their daily lives and extend love and support to those around them.

As the bells tolled and the prayers concluded, the faithful departed with hearts full of gratitude and the promise of spreading the light of Christmas in their homes and communities.
