Celebrating Veer Bal Diwas: Honoring Courage and Sacrifice

Ghaziabad: The city witnessed a heartfelt tribute to the unparalleled bravery and sacrifice of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh during the celebration of Veer Bal Diwas, organized by the BJP Minority Morcha Metropolitan Committee. The event, which emphasized cultural and historical values, was graced by prominent leaders and community members.

A Day to Inspire and Reflect

Former Mayor Ashu Verma highlighted the significance of Veer Bal Diwas, stating, “This day is not only a symbol of valor and sacrifice but also an opportunity to awaken the youth. Unlike Nehru’s birthday, which is celebrated as Children’s Day without substantial contribution towards the welfare of children, Veer Bal Diwas is a heartfelt tribute to the unparalleled sacrifices made by the Sikh Gurus’ family. Prime Minister Modi’s initiative to commemorate this day reflects the true spirit of patriotism and cultural pride.”

Adding to this sentiment, the event’s metropolitan convenor and BJP Minority Morcha President Sardar Balpreet Singh remarked, “Veer Bal Diwas reminds us of our rich cultural and religious heritage. It’s a day that inspires courage and sacrifice. Events like this not only educate the younger generation about their history but also instill values of bravery and unity.”

A Well-Organized Tribute

The program was skillfully anchored by the young poet Piyush Malviya, who kept the audience engaged with his eloquence. The event featured reflections on the life and sacrifices of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh through their portraits.

Prominent attendees included BJP Metropolitan Media In-Charge Pradeep Chaudhary, Mandal President Harmeet Bakshi, former councilor Sakshi Narang, councilor Kanhaiya Lal, and respected community leaders such as Sardar Yogendra Singh, Sardar Darshan Singh, Sardar Manjeet Singh Sethi, and Sardar Paramjeet Singh Pammi. School principal Dharamjeet Kaur also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of teaching young minds about their cultural heritage.

Uniting Generations Through History

The program concluded with a call to the youth to draw inspiration from the bravery of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. The speakers emphasized that such commemorations are crucial in fostering a sense of unity and pride in the nation’s historical and cultural roots.

This celebration of Veer Bal Diwas was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by young warriors in the past, serving as a beacon of inspiration for future generations.
