Burglary in Shriram Heights, Rajnagar Extension: Retired Doctor’s Flat Robbed During Evening Walk


Ghaziabad: A shocking burglary took place in Shriram Heights Society on Friday evening, leaving residents concerned about security measures in the area. The incident occurred between 6 PM and 8 PM at Flat Number , owned by Dr. S.K. Saxena, a retired Associate Director of the UP Health Department.
Dr. Saxena had locked the wooden door of his flat and stepped out around 6 PM to attend the evening aarti at the temple inside the society. After the prayers, he took a walk before returning home at 8 PM, only to find his lock broken and valuables missing. Upon checking, he discovered that cash and jewelry had been stolen from his flat.
Immediate Police Action
Dr. Saxena immediately dialed 112, reporting the burglary to the police. Soon after, officers from the local police station arrived, followed by ACP Ghaziabad. A forensic team and a dog squad were also called to the scene for investigation.
Security Concerns
The burglars reportedly gained easy access as Dr. Saxena had not locked his iron security gate, making it easier for them to break the wooden door. The incident has raised alarms among residents, as it took place in broad daylight within a gated society, highlighting the vulnerability of homes even in secured complexes.
