Baghpat’s Bahubali Jain Temple Makes Global Headlines with Record-Breaking Kalash-Shaped Water Tank

Baghpat | Uttar Pradesh | April 30, 2025 : In a proud moment for the Jain community and residents of Baghpat and Ghaziabad, a unique kalash-shaped overhead water tank at the newly constructed Shri 1008 Bahubali Digambar Jain Temple in Bada Gaon, Khekra, has been officially listed in an international record book, making it a global architectural marvel.

This extraordinary structure marks the first time a kalash-shaped tank has entered an international world record, highlighting both religious symbolism and engineering innovation.

The project was conceptualized and sponsored by Yogendra Kumar Jain, Managing Director of VV Tax Overseas, along with his family, as part of a sacred offering for the construction of the temple and its overhead water tank. The construction was brought to life under the guidance of Engineer Ramesh Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Ashoka Builders, Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad. Inspired by Yogendra Jain’s devotion and vision, the engineering and technical teams worked tirelessly to complete this monumental task.

Engineer Jain’s wife, Sunita Jain, along with Mr. and Mrs. Piyush Goyal, played an integral role in encouraging and supporting the completion of this unique project, contributing both dedication and round-the-clock efforts.

The technical excellence behind the construction was supported by a stellar team, including:

  • Engineer S.K. Agrawal, Retired Professor, IIT Roorkee
  • Engineer Ashok Jain, Retired Professor, IIT Roorkee
  • Engineer Manoj Jain
  • Site Supervisor Shri Kamalkant
  • The dedicated team from Ashoka Builders

Their collective commitment and expert input made this prestigious and spiritually significant structure possible.

Speaking at a press conference, Engineer Ramesh Kumar Jain expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in bringing the vision to life. “This accomplishment is not just a milestone for the temple or our families, but a moment of immense pride for Baghpat and Ghaziabad,” he stated.

The kalash-shaped tank, aside from its symbolic significance in Jain architecture, stands as a shining example of cultural heritage fused with modern engineering-a model that could inspire similar spiritual-architectural endeavors across the country.

Also present at the press meet were Piyush Goyal, Ajay Jain, and other key contributors to the project, celebrating the recognition and the efforts of everyone involved.
