The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) team, which reached to break the illegal construction in Indirapuram Gyan Khand – 1 on Saturday, faced a huge protest. The builders gathered and raised slogans against the GDA. The builders said that demolishing the building after construction is not rational. However, the GDA completed the process of demolition of the illegal construction amid protests.
The building is being constructed by a builder on plot number-15 in Gyan Khand – A. It is alleged that the construction was done against the map on behalf of the builder. GDA officials had asked to demolish the illegal construction. Pradeep Gupta, chairman of Trans Hidden Builder Welfare Association, says that two days ago, he was told by the GDA officials that the additional construction would be demolished by the builder himself.
On Saturday afternoon, GDA OSD Sushil Kumar Choubey arrived with the team and started breaking the illegal construction. After this the builders gathered and started opposing the action. During this, there was a clash between Sushil Kumar Choubey and Pradeep Gupta and many other builders. The builders started protesting and asked to send them to jail first, only then they will allow the construction to demolish. The police force deployed on the spot managed to convince the builders. The builders allege that the police even tried to take them into custody. The builders said that when the construction was illegal then why does the GDA allow it to be built. It is not right to take action after construction.
