4-Year-Old Boy Injured in Terrifying Monkey Attack in Mussoorie Village

Mussoorie: In a shocking incident, a 4-year-old boy was severely injured in an attack by a group of monkeys in Nahal village near Mussoorie. The child’s cries for help attracted the attention of the locals, who managed to scare away the monkeys and rescue the child. He was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital and later referred to GTB Hospital in Delhi for specialized treatment.

According to the villagers, monkey attacks have become a recurring issue in the area, with the primates frequently targeting both children and adults. The victim, identified as Mohammad Shaad, was on his way to a shop to buy groceries when the monkeys attacked him. The boy suffered a deep gash on his right elbow, measuring about two and a half inches.

Distraught family members rushed the injured child to a nearby private hospital for immediate medical attention. Doctors at the hospital stabilized him and recommended that he be transferred to GTB Hospital in Delhi for further treatment.

The incident highlights the growing issue of aggressive monkey behavior in the region. Local authorities are being urged to address this problem to ensure the safety of residents and tourists who visit Mussoorie and its surrounding areas.

The injured child’s family is hopeful for his swift recovery, and they await further updates from the doctors at GTB Hospital in Delhi.
