25th Martyrdom Day of Captain G.S. Suri, Mahavir Chakra Awardee, to be Commemorated in Shastri Nagar

Ghaziabad : The 25th Martyrdom Day of Captain G.S. Suri, Mahavir Chakra awardee, will be solemnly observed on November 9 at Captain Suri Park, Shastri Nagar. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 AM and is organized by the Captain G.S. Suri Memorial Trust.

Sharing the details, retired Colonel T.P. Singh, father of the late Captain Suri, mentioned that the event will feature prominent dignitaries. The Chief Guests for the occasion will be Lieutenant General S.C. Tandi and Major General Manoj Natarajan, while the event will be presided over by Mayor Sunita Dayal.

To honor Captain Suri’s legacy, students from various schools will perform cultural programs centered around the theme of national unity. The event promises to be a tribute to the spirit of patriotism and sacrifice.

The commemoration is supported by local organizations, including Councilor Amit Tyagi, the Ex-Servicemen Welfare Committee, the Anti-Terrorism Front, and the RWA G Block Shastri Nagar. Additionally, Nehru World School will play a collaborative role in the event.

Colonel Singh has extended an open invitation to all social organizations in the city to participate in this significant occasion and pay homage to Captain Suri’s enduring legacy.

The event is set to inspire the community by remembering the bravery and dedication of those who serve the nation.
