Hindu Youth Assaulted at Wrestling Event in Meerut; Video of Attack Goes Viral

Meerut : A youth, Satyendra, was brutally assaulted and chased out of Khadouli village after he protested against irregularities during a wrestling event. The shocking incident, which took place in the Kankarkheda police station area, has sparked outrage after a video of the assault went viral on social media.

According to reports, Satyendra had attended a local dangal (wrestling match), where he objected to alleged unfair practices by wrestlers Anwar and Danish. This led to a heated altercation, during which a mob attacked Satyendra, hurled caste-based slurs at him, and severely beat him before driving him out of the village.

Satyendra sustained injuries and was admitted to Pyarelal Hospital for treatment. Following the attack, he lodged a complaint at Kankarkheda police station, naming nine individuals and accusing over 100 unidentified persons.

The police have registered a case under relevant sections but, as of now, no arrests have been made. The incident has raised serious concerns about law and order and communal harmony in the area.
