World Interiors Day Celebrated with Creativity and Insight at Subharti Fine Arts College

Meerut : The Department of Interior Design at Nandalal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design, part of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, came alive with creativity, passion, and purpose as it celebrated World Interiors Day 2025. The event was marked by a blend of academic insight and student innovation, highlighting the significance of interior design in shaping human experiences and the built environment.

A Grand Opening: ‘Sthapatya 2025’ Unveiled

The celebration began with the formal inauguration of a student exhibition and the unveiling of ‘Sthapatya 2025’, a specially curated design catalogue showcasing the vibrant and diverse work of budding designers from the department. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Prof. (Dr.) Pintu Mishra, Dean of the college, in the esteemed presence of chief guest Kuldeep Singh, a renowned interior design expert, and guest of honour Dr. D. J. Patil. Also present were Dr. Neha Singh (Head of Department), Shraddha Yadav (Academic Coordinator), Shailja Sindhai (Department Coordinator), Monika Verma, and Shabnam Shabbir from the faculty team.

Spotlight Session: Art & Structure in Interiors

The highlight of the event was a compelling guest lecture by Kuldeep Singh, who spoke on the theme “Art and Structure in Interior Design.” He shared deep insights into the intricate relationship between artistic expression and structural harmony in interior spaces. The session offered students and faculty an invaluable perspective on the seamless integration of aesthetics and functionality in interior environments.

Creative Showcase by Students

A special exhibition followed, featuring innovative and artistic interior design projects created by students. The showcase included models, conceptual designs, and visual presentations, reflecting a remarkable blend of imagination, technical skill, and a deep understanding of user-centric design.
