Wife and Her Lover Arrested for Brutal Murder of Husband in Brahmpuri

Meerut : In a shocking revelation, Brahmpuri police have arrested a woman and her lover for the gruesome murder of her husband, Saurabh Rajput. The victim, missing since March 5, was found encased in a cement-filled drum inside his own house.

The case came to light when Bablu, Saurabh’s brother, filed a missing person report on March 18, suspecting foul play involving Saurabh’s wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla. Acting swiftly, Brahmpuri police registered an FIR under relevant sections and launched an investigation under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police.

A Sinister Plot Unfolds

During interrogation, Muskan and Sahil confessed to the crime, revealing a cold-blooded plot:

  • Muskan, married to Saurabh since 2016, had been in an extramarital affair with Sahil since 2019. The two had reconnected through a school WhatsApp group.
  • Saurabh, who worked in a bakery in London, returned to India on February 24, 2025. Muskan saw this as an opportunity to eliminate him.
  • On March 4, she drugged his food using sedatives purchased from a local medical store.
  • Once Saurabh was unconscious, Muskan called Sahil. They purchased a razor and a knife from Sharda Road, then brutally stabbed Saurabh in the chest.
  • To ensure his death, they slit his throat and severed his hands.
  • The next day, they bought a blue plastic drum, cement, and sand to conceal the body.
  • The corpse was stuffed into the drum, filled with cement and sand, and placed near a cupboard.
  • To avoid suspicion, they fled to Shimla on March 5 and returned on March 17.

Crime Scene Discovery

Following their arrest, the police recovered Saurabh’s body and the murder weapons based on their confession. The remains have been sent for post-mortem, and further legal proceedings are underway.

Key Investigative Findings:

  1. Muskan and Saurabh had a love marriage in 2016 and had a 6-year-old daughter.
  2. Muskan drugged Saurabh before killing him.
  3. Sahil, a B.Com graduate, was learning trading on Angel One App.
  4. The couple chopped the body into parts to fit it into a bag but later decided to use a cement-filled drum.
  5. Their daughter was sent to her grandmother’s house during the crime.

This shocking case of betrayal and brutality has sent shockwaves across Meerut, raising serious concerns about crime and relationships. The police continue their investigation to ensure justice is served.
