Tyagi Bhoomihar Samaj Demands Reservation and Reinstatement of Bhoomihar Regiment

Meerut: In a crucial meeting convened at the Tyagi Hostel, the Tyagi Bhoomihar Samaj United Assembly addressed the pressing issues of the community and announced their intent to take to the streets in demand of reservation and the reinstatement of the Bhoomihar Regiment.

Speaking at the gathering, Sunil Tyagi Sohjani asserted that the Tyagi community was now prepared to actively seek reservation and the establishment of the Bhoomihar Regiment. He added that if these demands were not met, the Tyagi community would vehemently oppose the government with banners and protests.

Umesh Tyagi, the chief guest, announced that the Tyagi community would unite to stage a massive demonstration soon, with the date to be decided shortly, in order to demand their rights.

Krishna Prasad Tyagi mentioned that it was imperative for the government to establish the Bhoomihar Regiment before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The regiment was disbanded by the British government in 1914 after it participated in the freedom struggle, instigated by the nationalist spirit.

National President Rajesh Tyagi declared that the Tyagi community would organize a significant demonstration in November in Meerut to present their demands to the administration.

Senior leader Colonel Amardeep Tyagi expressed his strong commitment to initiating a powerful movement for the establishment of the Bhoomihar Regiment within the army.

In the meeting, Sunil Tyagi along with Umesh Tyagi and Krishna Prasad Tyagi were appointed as members of the Tyagi Bhoomihar United Assembly’s Central Committee.

The meeting was presided over by Krishna Tyagi, and Rajesh Tyagi led the proceedings. Sunil Tyagi, Dr. Anurag Tyagi, Sushant Tyagi, Shekhar Tyagi, Sachin Tyagi, Praveen Tyagi, and Manoj Tyagi, among many others, were present in substantial numbers.

The Tyagi Bhoomihar community’s demands for reservation and the reinstatement of the Bhoomihar Regiment are gaining momentum, and the planned demonstration in November is expected to bring attention to their cause.
