Tricolour Rally in Meerut Pays Tribute to Indian Army’s Bravery under ‘Operation Sindoor’

Meerut: In a powerful display of patriotism and public solidarity, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Meerut unit organized a Tiranga Yatra (Tricolour Rally) on Wednesday to honour the valour of the Indian Army during Operation Sindoor. The rally, led by BJP Metropolitan President Vivek Rastogi, commenced from Bachcha Park and concluded at the symbolic Bharat Mata Chowk.

The event witnessed the participation of several prominent public representatives and party leaders, including Minister Dr. Somendra Tomar, MLA Amit Agarwal, MLC Dr. Dharmendra Bhardwaj, and former MP Rajendra Agarwal. A large number of party workers and local residents joined the rally, waving the national flag and chanting patriotic slogans.

During the event, tributes were paid to the brave soldiers martyred in the recent Pahalgam attack. In emotional addresses, leaders highlighted the success of Operation Sindoor, during which the Indian Army reportedly launched a precise strike deep inside Pakistan — up to 500 kilometers into Rawalpindi — destroying terrorist launchpads and sending a clear message against cross-border terrorism.

Leaders lauded the decisive and bold leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing how recent defence initiatives have enhanced the capability and confidence of the Indian armed forces. They also noted that this rally was not a political event, but a national expression of gratitude and respect for the army and the nation.

“The Tiranga Yatra stands as a tribute to our armed forces who risk their lives to protect us. It reflects unity and patriotism above political affiliations,” said Dr. Somendra Tomar during the rally.

Citizens from all walks of life joined the march, making it a vibrant and unifying display of national pride.
