Tragic Road Accident in Bulandshahr Claims Five Lives, 27 Injured Referred to Medical College

Bulandshahr, May 16, 2025 – A devastating road accident in the Jahangirabad area of Bulandshahr district has left five people dead and 27 others seriously injured, sending shockwaves through the region.
The incident occurred near Raonda village, under Jahangirabad police station limits, when a speeding truck collided head-on with a DCM vehicle carrying over two dozen labourers. The impact of the collision was so severe that three people died on the spot, while two more succumbed to injuries during treatment at the medical facility, raising the death toll to five.
The DCM was carrying labourers returning home to Shahjahanpur from Punjab, where they had been working at a brick kiln. The group was en route to their native village when tragedy struck.










Upon receiving the distress call, Circle Officer (CO) Anupshahr, along with other senior police officials, immediately reached the spot. District Magistrate Shruti and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dinesh Kumar Singh also visited the district hospital to assess the situation and meet the injured victims.
Emergency rescue operations were launched by the police, who safely evacuated all injured individuals from the DCM and rushed them to the Bulandshahr District Hospital. However, due to the critical condition of many patients, 27 individuals were referred to Meerut Medical College for advanced treatment.
The truck driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle, while the DCM driver also lost his life in the crash.
Police are conducting further investigations, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest the absconding truck driver. Authorities are also working to ensure the families of the victims receive necessary support and assistance.
This heartbreaking accident has once again raised concerns over road safety and speeding on highways, especially involving overloaded commercial vehicles.
