Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Mother and Daughters as Train Hits Them in Meerut

Meerut: In a heart-wrenching incident that has left the community in shock and mourning, a family tragedy unfolded when a mother and her two daughters lost their lives as they were struck by a Vande Bharat Express train. This tragic incident occurred due to an attempt to hastily cross the railway tracks in Meerut.
The ill-fated incident took place near the Kasampur railway crossing in the Kankarkheda area of Meerut. The family, hailing from the Cantt area, was headed to the home of the husband’s sister in Meerut. Naresh, the husband, was driving the vehicle while his wife, Mona, and their two daughters, 14-year-old Manisha and 7-year-old Charu, were seated in the rear.
As the family approached the railway crossing at Kasampur, they found the gate closed as a Vande Bharat Express train was expected to pass. Naresh, however, believed that they could cross the tracks before the train’s arrival. Tragically, the family miscalculated, and as Naresh attempted to lift the gate’s arm, their vehicle was hit by the speeding train.
The impact with the train resulted in the vehicle’s rear colliding with it, trapping Mona, Manisha, and Charu between the train and their car. The local residents and railway personnel rushed to the scene to assist, but the impact had been devastating. The bodies were carefully removed from the tracks, and the authorities conducted post-mortems.

This unfortunate incident has left Naresh in immense grief, as he witnessed the tragic loss of his wife and two young daughters, narrowly escaping the train’s impact himself. The railway police are investigating the incident, and further action will be taken as required. The community grieves for the lives that have been lost in this deeply distressing accident.
