Sushant Singh Rajput Case: NCB Files Draft Charges Against Riya Chakraborty And Showik In Court
Mumbai : NCB has made Riya and others accused of buying drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. The next hearing will be on 12 July 2022.
Special Public Prosecutor Atul Sarpande has said that charges have been framed against all the accused in the charge sheet. While filing this draft charge sheet, he said that Rhea Chakraborty and Showik had used drugs and traded them for Sushant Singh Rajput. He has also said that the court was about to frame the charges against all the accused but it could not happen as some of the accused have filed discharge applications. The court has said that until the discharge application is decided, charges cannot be framed.
Sushant was found dead at his home in Bandra on June 14, 2020. The CBI is probing the case related to his death. After that, the Enforcement Directorate and Narcotics Control Bureau have also started separate investigations into the matter. In September 2020, Sushant’s girlfriend Riya was arrested in this case. At the same time, after spending about a month in jail, the Bombay High Court granted him bail.
Showik and several others have also been made accused in the case of allegedly consuming, possessing, and transacting drugs for the same. Most of these accused are out on bail at present. The death of Sushant Singh Rajput is also being investigated from the drug angle. Many Bollywood superstars have been questioned.
