SSP Dr. Vipin Tada Bans Flower Bouquets to Curb Frivolous Activities, Disappointing Some

Meerut : Dr. Vipin Tada, the newly appointed Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Meerut, wasted no time in initiating a series of decisive actions upon taking charge. Transferred from Saharanpur, Dr. Tada has requested a detailed list of history-sheeters from all police stations in Meerut and demanded information on cases pending for over a year without charge sheets or final reports.
Arriving from Saharanpur, Dr. Tada assumed his new responsibilities on Wednesday and immediately sought comprehensive records from station chiefs across Meerut. His directives include the submission of detailed dossiers on wanted criminals and pending cases, signaling his intent to streamline operations and ensure swift justice.
Dr. Tada emphasized his commitment to maintaining direct contact with the public. “Being a doctor, I understand the importance of precise intervention,” he said, using a medical metaphor to describe his approach to crime control. “I know when a situation requires just a tablet and when an injection is necessary. Those involved in criminal activities will face stringent actions.”
In an effort to enhance transparency and accessibility, Dr. Tada announced that his office doors would remain open to the public from 10 AM to 2 PM daily. Additionally, he assured that he would be available via mobile phone and WhatsApp for any urgent concerns.
Dr. Vipin Tada, a 2012 batch IAS officer, is also the son-in-law of Satpal Singh, former Mumbai Commissioner and BJP MP. With an MBBS degree and a background in medical practice, he brings a unique perspective to his role in law enforcement. Originally from Rajasthan, Dr. Tada’s commitment to public service is evident in his proactive measures and open-door policy.
In a move to curtail frivolous activities, Dr. Tada has discouraged the practice of presenting flower bouquets for photo opportunities, a common gesture among certain groups to garner favor. A notice outside his office now instructs visitors to refrain from bringing bouquets, much to the dismay of those accustomed to the practice.

Dr. Tada’s immediate and robust actions have set a tone of accountability and efficiency, aiming to foster a safer and more orderly environment in Meerut. His leadership is poised to bring about significant improvements in the district’s law enforcement and community relations.
