Shocking Incident in Uttar Pradesh: Altercation at Hospital Results in Alleged Beating of Toddler and Family

Junior Doctors at Lala Lajpat Rai Medical College Under Scrutiny After Disturbing Video Surfaces

Meerut: In a distressing incident at Lala Lajpat Rai Medical College in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, a video has emerged on social media that depicts a confrontation between junior doctors and a family who brought in their five-year-old child for medical treatment.

The child was admitted to the hospital’s emergency department late at night, suffering from an injury to one of his fingers caused by a machine. The child was in evident pain, and the family sought immediate medical assistance. However, the situation escalated, leading to a heated exchange between the family and the junior doctors, which ultimately turned violent.

In the video, which has since gone viral, the child can be seen writhing in pain while some individuals, allegedly junior doctors, physically confront members of the family. The child and his family were eventually forced to leave the hospital without receiving any medical attention.

The catalyst for this altercation appears to be the absence of senior doctors at the scene. In their absence, the junior doctors reportedly started documenting the child’s injuries with a video, presumably to alert their seniors. However, the family objected to this, demanding immediate treatment for the injured child. The disagreement quickly turned into a physical altercation.

Devesh, a member of the child’s family, alleges that the senior doctor questioned why they brought the child to a medical college for such a minor injury, suggesting they should have sought treatment from a private doctor. This statement further fueled the confrontation. During the altercation, the family claims that the doctors resorted to physical violence and even verbally abused them.

The video shows the child in agony, helplessly witnessing the altercation that unfolded around him. The child’s mother and other women present were also reportedly subjected to violence during the confrontation.

After the altercation, the family left the hospital premises and decided to seek medical care from a private hospital. Their decision to bypass further treatment at the government hospital was due to the traumatic experience they faced there.

Following the incident, the family filed a complaint with the police, which resulted in the registration of a case against five junior doctors. The accused doctors, identified as Abdul, Aditya, and Abhishek, have been suspended from duty, pending further investigation. An investigative committee has been established to examine the entire incident and ascertain the facts.
