Republic Day Celebrations at Police Line, Meerut, Marked with Patriotic Fervor

Meerut, January 26, 2025 – The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Police Line, Meerut. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Somendra Tomar, Hon’ble Minister of State for Energy, as the Chief Guest.

In his address, Dr. Tomar highlighted India’s distinction as the world’s largest democracy and paid homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar for uniting the nation under the framework of the Constitution. He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is progressing toward becoming a global leader, while Uttar Pradesh is transforming into an “Uttam Pradesh” under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s guidance. Dr. Tomar also urged citizens to balance their rights with responsibilities, committing themselves to serve the nation with dedication and resolve.

The Republic Day parade was a central feature of the celebrations, with Dr. Tomar taking the salute as the parade commander led the procession.

The event also showcased vibrant cultural performances by students from various educational institutions, adding color and energy to the occasion. The Hon’ble Minister presented mementos and certificates of appreciation to the parade commander, police personnel, and teachers from participating schools for their exemplary contributions.

A significant highlight of the celebration was the oath-taking ceremony led by SSP Vipin Tada, reaffirming the commitment to uphold the values of the Constitution.

The event saw the participation of several prominent dignitaries, including Lok Sabha MP Arun Govil, Mayor Harikant Ahaluwalia, ADG Dhruvkant Thakur, Commissioner of Meerut Division Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod, DIG Kalanidhi Naithani, District Magistrate Dr. V.K. Singh, CDO Nupur Goyal, SDM Sadar Kandarkar Kamal Kishore Deshbhooshan, SDM Sardhana Narayani Bhatia, SP City Ayush Vikram Singh, and City Magistrate Anil Kumar, among others.

The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of pride and patriotism, leaving attendees inspired to contribute to the nation’s progress and unity.
