Rampur : ‘Cast your vote well’: A grieving family’s request

Salute to the spirit of this family of Rampur regarding voting, voted with mother on the second day of fathers death

A family from Civil Lines area gave proof of how important the right of voting is in the festival of democracy. The head of the family passed away a day earlier. Despite this, all the family members reached the booth to cast their votes. This family, which set an example of awareness about voting, belongs to Mamta Bhatia. Her husband Vinod Bhatia passed away on Sunday due to illness.

He was cremated in the evening and after completing all the customs, on Monday, this family also performed their responsibility towards voting. The deceased’s son Shivam Bhatia took his mother to the booth located at Vidya Mandir Kanya Inter College and voted. Later, the married sister Muskan, who came from Faridabad, also cast her vote. Shivam said that there is sorrow for the death of the father. My father has always been participating in voting. He used to say that it is our moral responsibility to vote. Everyone must vote.
