Narrow Escape for Devotees as Multiple Electric Wires Touched During Procession

Meerut: Nagla Battu Road witnessed a potentially dangerous situation today during a grand procession, where electric wires were inadvertently touched by the participants, including children and adults, due to the presence of numerous DJs. The incident occurred around 10:00 AM, sparking concerns about the safety of the attendees.

The Shobha Yatra, which began at 10:00 AM, saw a massive gathering of devotees and revelers. The procession was marked by loud music played by DJs, creating a festive atmosphere. However, the large number of DJs and their equipment raised the risk of contact with overhead electric wires.

The situation took a critical turn when, during the procession, electric wires were touched by the participants. This incident occurred due to the low-hanging electric wires along the route, combined with the elevated setup of DJ equipment on vehicles.

Thankfully, there were no reports of electrocution or major injuries. However, the incident did raise concerns about public safety during such processions.
