Murder-Accused Muskan Gives Birth to Baby Girl in Meerut Medical College ; Fresh Questions Emerge Over Paternity

Meerut: In a dramatic twist to the high-profile Saurabh murder case, prime accused Muskan Rastogi, who allegedly conspired with her lover Sahil Shukla to kill her husband Saurabh, has given birth to a baby girl at Lala Lajpat Rai Medical College Hospital. The development has reignited a critical question: Who is the father of the newborn?

Muskan, already a mother to a daughter named Peehu, currently living with her maternal grandfather was brought to the hospital on Monday morning after she complained of severe labor pain. Doctors confirmed that her condition was stable, and she was kept under continuous medical supervision. At 6:50 pm, she delivered a healthy baby girl through normal delivery. Both mother and child are reported to be stable.

Tight Security at the Hospital

Given the sensitivity of the case, police forces were deployed inside and around the gynecology ward. Hospital officials coordinated closely with law enforcement, who monitored Muskan’s medical status throughout the day. The police presence reflects heightened public curiosity and the legal significance attached to the birth.

The Question of Paternity Intensifies

Ever since news of Muskan’s pregnancy surfaced, speculations about the identity of the child’s father have grown stronger. Muskan is accused of murdering her husband with the help of her alleged lover Sahil, thereby raising troubling questions about whether the child belongs to the deceased husband or the co-accused lover.

Saurabh’s brother has demanded a DNA test to establish paternity. He has stated that “if the DNA matches our family, we will accept the child”, otherwise the legal implications could expand further.

Trial Continues in Court

The Saurabh murder case continues to be heard in court. On November 21, key witness cab driver Ajab Singh was cross-examined. Earlier, he had identified both Muskan and Sahil via video conferencing. Police are presenting witness testimonies in a structured manner to strengthen the prosecution.

A Day of Stark Irony

In a striking coincidence, Muskan gave birth to her second daughter on the birthday of her late husband Saurabh, the man she is accused of murdering.

Locals have begun referring to her as the “Blue Drum Queen”, a reference to the sensational manner in which Saurabh’s body was disposed of.

Sources claim Muskan reportedly wished for “a child like Lord Krishna”, but her situation today paints a stark picture of crime, consequence, and unanswered questions.

As the investigation continues and a DNA test appears imminent, the newborn’s identity may become a pivotal factor in the emotional, legal, and moral complexity of one of Meerut’s most disturbing murder cases.
