Mental Health Concerns Mount After Another Private College Suicide in Meerut

Meerut, India – A 20-year-old student from Bihar jumped off the fifth floor of a private college building in Meerut. The student, identified as Shashi Kumar, was a first-year BCA student at the college.

According to police, Kumar was speaking on the phone when he jumped off the building. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
