Family from Meerut stuck in the Israel-Hamas conflict; Road to return blocked after flight cancellations

Meerut: A family from the Kitour area of Thana Kithaur, Meerut, is trapped in the midst of the Israel-Hamas conflict. The family has been appealing for help continuously from there. The daughter-in-law of this family is the niece of a BJP leader from Amroha.
The family, consisting of a son, wife, and daughter, went to Israel for post-doctoral studies at Jukraberg University in 2020. Later, they called their wife and daughter to join them in Israel. The situation in Israel has become tense after the Hamas attack. The husband’s wife, Jaydeep Kaur, is the niece of Gurendra Singh, a BJP leader from Amroha. Mohit Randhawa’s relatives have stated that the family, including Mohit, was scheduled to return on October 12, but all flights were canceled after the attack. The family and the Indian embassy have been in constant contact regarding their situation.
Mohit Randhawa, a resident of Housing Development Colony in Amroha, is the nephew of businessman Surendra Singh Dhillon, and the brother of Gurinder Singh Dhillon, the block chief. He is also the district media contact chief for the BJP.
Jaydeep married Mohit on June 17, 2017.
Kamlesh Bahadur, the rural SP, stated that Omveer Singh, a resident of the village Shaulda in the Kitour Thana area, has a son, Mohit Choudhary, and daughter-in-law Jaydeep Kaur. Jaydeep was scheduled to arrive in Meerut from Israel on October 12, but her flight was canceled. She had decided to arrive on October 15. However, the flight was canceled, so she won’t be able to return until a new flight is scheduled.
