Meerut Elections Result : Sardhana seat, BJP’s Sangeet Singh Som loses to SP’s Atul Pradhan

This time there has been a big change in the assembly elections results in Meerut. In the district in 2017, where the BJP had captured six out of seven seats, this time four seats have gone to the SP-RLD alliance and three to the BJP. BJP MLA Sangeet Som, who was in constant headlines after the Muzaffarnagar riots, was defeated by Atul Pradhan of SP in Sardhana seat.

Record victory of BJP in Cantt
BJP’s Amit Agarwal has won the Cantt seat, which is a stronghold of the BJP, with a margin of 117526 votes by getting a record 160921 votes. Here RLD candidate Manisha Ahlawat has secured 43395 votes. BSP candidate Amit Sharma got only 28257 votes. Congress candidate Avneesh Kajla got only 5058 votes.

BJP won by a close margin in the South
BJP MLA Somendra Tomar has won the Meerut South seat for the second consecutive time by defeating SP candidate Adil Chaudhary by a margin of 7653 votes. Somendra has got 129021 votes and Adil Chaudhary has got 121368 votes. Dilshad Ali of BSP could get only 39685 votes.

SP retained the seat in the city
SP’s Rafiq Ansari got 106212 votes and won the Shahar seat for the second time with a margin of 26282 votes. Here Kamal Dutt Sharma of BJP had to be satisfied with only 79930 votes. BSP candidate Dilshad got 4913 votes and Congress candidate Ranjan Sharma got 5294 votes. Both of them could not even save the bail.

Kamal blossomed in Hastinapur,
In Meerut countryside, except Hastinapur, the SP-RLD alliance has won the remaining three seats. Minister and BJP candidate Dinesh Khatik has won from Hastinapur for the second time by defeating SP candidate Yogesh Verma by a margin of 6744 votes. Dinesh Khatik has got 106049 votes. SP candidate Yogesh Verma, who came second, got 99305 votes. Sanjeev Kumar of BSP could get only 13863 votes while Archana Gautam of Congress had to be satisfied with only 1484 votes.

Atul stopped Som’s hat-trick
In Sardhana, SP’s Atul Pradhan defeated BJP’s Sangeet Som by 18000 votes. Here Atul Pradhan has got 118047 votes while Sangeet Som has got 99887 votes. BSP’s Sanjeev Dhama got only 18075 votes here while Congress had to be satisfied with just 2129 votes.

Shahid Manzoor won by 2388 votes in Kithore
In Kithore seat, SP candidate and former minister Shahid Manzoor, who was MLA from here three times, defeated sitting BJP MLA Satyaveer Tyagi by a margin of 2388 votes. Shahid Manzoor got 106791 votes while Satyaveer Tyagi got 104403 votes. Kushalpal Mavi of BSP got 31089 and Babita Gurjar of Congress got 1580 votes.

RLD’s Ghulam Mohammad defeated BJP in Siwalkhas
In Siwalkhas seat, RLD’s Haji Ghulam Mohammad got 101005 votes while BJP’s Maninderpal, who came second, got 91510 votes. The margin of victory of Ghulam was 9495. BSP candidate Mukarram Ali, who came third, could get only 29386 votes. Congress candidate Jagdish Prasad had to be satisfied with only 1558 votes.
