Noida : Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) may soon gift a new link line metro from Sector-142 Metro Station to Botanical Garden to the residents of the Aqua Line Metro operating from Noida-Greater Noida. In such a situation, a decision can also be taken to pass the link line metro to serve the residents of dozens of villages and all the group housing societies on the other side (right side) of the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. NMRC Managing Director Ritu Maheshwari has directed the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials to explore new possibilities by changing the alignment to provide a Metro facility to a maximum number of people.

Explain that the Revised Detail Project Report (DPR) of the Link Line Route has been prepared by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). In this regard, a review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Managing Director Ritu Maheshwari on Thursday at the NMRC office located in Sector-29. In this, DMRC officials made a presentation on the revised DPR. In which all the points including route alignment, ridership, station, and upcoming expenses were discussed in detail. During this, Ritu Maheshwari said that the card issued by SBI for taking the metro should be changed at the earliest by making such a card so that all the passengers can take service in the metro. Apart from this, other features should also be added to the NMRC app. So that they can also get information about the passengers. NMRC Executive Director Praveen Kumar Mishra was also present on the occasion.

An estimated 10 lakh passengers will travel per month:

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has prepared and handed it over to the NMRC management. Earlier it was decided to operate light metro on this route, but now normal metro will operate. According to the survey, about 10 lakh passengers will travel in this line every month.

The budget was also revised along with the DPR:

In the year 2016, DMRC had prepared the DPR of the link line of Aqua Line Metro from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden. On which Rs 2826 crore was to be spent. Now about Rs, 700 crores have been reduced in the revised DPR.

Stations not reduced:

The number of stations has neither been increased nor decreased in the revised DPR. In the extension from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden, six stations will be built for a total of 11 km. Sector-136, Sector-91, Sector-93, Sector-98, Sector-125 and Sector-94 have been included in this. Sector-142 will be the interchange station of the train, while the Botanical Garden will be its last station. Separate platforms will be made for Metro at both these stations.

Metro will be able to change for Blue Line and Magenta:

Botanical Garden will be the link station. From here, passengers will be able to change the metro for Magenta and Blue Line. People coming to Greater Noida will use this link. At present, those traveling in Aqua Line Metro have to come to Noida Sector-51 metro station from Greater Noida. From here one has to catch the Metro from Sector-52 station for the Blue Line.
