Lawyers’ Strike and Protest at Meerut Court Complex Following Hapur Incident

Meerut: In response to the recent Hapur incident that has stirred controversy, the Meerut court complex witnessed a day of strike and protest by the legal fraternity. Lawyers, expressing their vehement dissent, padlocked the gates of the court complex, signifying their strong protest against the situation.

The turmoil follows a violent altercation that occurred in Hapur, involving lawyers. This incident has ignited a wave of anger and frustration among lawyers in Meerut. The District Bar Association of Hapur alleges that the police unjustly lodged a case against a female lawyer and her father, an accusation that has prompted outrage within the legal community.

In a show of unity and solidarity, lawyers from Meerut and neighboring districts, including Ghaziabad, Modinagar, and Garhmukteshwar, joined hands to support the cause. This joint effort aimed to convey their collective disapproval of the alleged mistreatment and unjust actions against their fellow lawyer.

The lawyers’ protest, marked by a determined march and vocal demonstrations, highlighted their demand for the withdrawal of the fabricated case against the female lawyer and her father. Additionally, they called for immediate and stringent action to be taken against the police officers accused of filing false charges.
