Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College Hosts Prestigious Conference on Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy

Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College, one of Western Uttar Pradesh’s oldest and most respected institutions, continues to lead in medical education and community service. In a significant stride towards clinical excellence, the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy, in collaboration with the Meerut Chapter of UP IADVL (Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologists), organized the “Dr. A.K. Bajaj Mid-Term Clinical Case Conference” under the able leadership of Principal Dr. R.C. Gupta.
The conference commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, graced by Principal Dr. Gupta and key office bearers of the UP IADVL Meerut Chapter. Dr. Gupta emphasized the importance of leveraging cutting-edge research and clinical advancements to better serve patients and the wider community. He also encouraged young doctors to pursue meaningful medical research and contribute to patient care innovations.
This high-impact event saw the participation of dermatologists and specialists from across Uttar Pradesh, with over 70 postgraduate students presenting insightful research papers on rare and complex dermatological cases. The conference aimed to unravel diagnostic challenges in rare skin disorders and to foster the exchange of emerging medical practices and treatments.
Key contributors and dermatology experts included Dr. Ajay Sharma, Dr. Anurag Pradhan, Dr. Arvind Aggarwal, Dr. Pragya Kushwaha, Dr. Tarang Goyal, and Dr. Sachin Aggarwal. The Head of the Department, Dr. Amarjeet Singh, highlighted the collaborative spirit behind the event, noting the role of both faculty members and junior residents in its success.
Junior residents such as Dr. Narendra, Dr. Supriya, Dr. Sanjeev, Dr. Swarnima, Dr. Akshita, and Dr. Sunil were actively involved in organizing and presenting. Veteran dermatologists including Dr. R.P. Sharma, Dr. P.K. Mittal, Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dr. R.K. Goyal, and Dr. R.P. Singh also extended their valuable guidance and support.
