Labour Day Celebrated with Gratitude at DAV Centenary Public School, Meerut

Meerut | May 1, 2025 : In a heartwarming celebration of Labour Day, DAV Centenary Public School, Shastri Nagar, Meerut, paid a special tribute to its non-teaching staff, recognizing their indispensable contributions to the school community. The event, held on Thursday, May 1, was marked by dignity, gratitude, and joyful participation from both students and staff.
The day began with a special morning assembly, where students of Class 11 eloquently expressed their thoughts on the importance of labour and the crucial role support staff play in the smooth functioning of educational institutions. Their speeches emphasized respect, dignity of labour, and mutual appreciation.
In a moving gesture, each member of the school’s assistant staff was respectfully invited on stage, where they were greeted with handmade cards crafted by the youngest students. The touching moment was met with applause and smiles, highlighting the emotional connect between the students and the school’s support team.
Adding a lively touch to the celebration, students from Class 3 presented a captivating group dance, energizing the gathering and bringing smiles to all.
School Principal Aparna Jain, along with all supervisors, personally honoured the assistant staff with thoughtful gifts, as a token of appreciation. In her address, Mrs. Jain wholeheartedly praised the dedication and hard work of the support team, stating, “Behind every clean classroom, safe campus, and smooth school day, stands the unwavering effort of our support staff. We salute them.”
Dr. Alpana Sharma, Regional Officer for DAV Schools, UP Zone-A, also extended her greetings and congratulated the assistant staff through a special message, lauding their often unsung yet invaluable contributions.
This celebration not only highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering respect and inclusivity but also reinforced the message that every role, big or small, deserves recognition and gratitude.
