Joint Inspection Conducted at Meerut Medical College Ahead of Kanwar Yatra 2025

Meerut : In view of the upcoming Shravan Kanwar Yatra 2025, a high-level joint inspection was carried out today at Meerut Medical College by the Superintendent of Police (City) Meerut, ADM (City), and senior officials of the medical college. The inspection was focused on assessing the preparedness of the medical and security systems within the campus.
During the inspection, officials closely reviewed the emergency medical services, sanitation, security arrangements, and the overall quality of healthcare being provided to patients. The inspection team emphasized that the college must remain fully equipped to handle any medical emergencies, particularly during the large influx of pilgrims expected during the Kanwar Yatra season.
Police and administrative officers issued clear instructions to the departmental heads, stating that no negligence in medical services will be tolerated. They stressed the need for prompt and high-quality treatment for any injured or ill devotees who may arrive at the facility during the pilgrimage.
The inspection also addressed critical aspects such as campus security, women’s safety, and crowd management. Officials urged that adequate personnel be deployed and that necessary resources be mobilized to ensure smooth coordination during high footfall days.
With thousands of Kanwariyas expected to pass through and around Meerut during the Shravan month, this proactive inspection is seen as a key step in ensuring the city’s medical infrastructure and administrative machinery are fully prepared to handle the spiritual rush efficiently and safely.
