Meerut: The Investiture Ceremony of the Primary Wing of Army Public School, Meerut Cantt was held on 02 May,2023 with great zeal and enthusiasm. Dr (Mrs) Reeta Gupta, Principal APS Meerut was the Chief Guest and Usha Sahrawat was the Guest of Honour on this occasion.
The programme began with the melodious rendition of the AWES song by the choir group. Thereafter, the members of the newly appointed Prefectorial Council were adorned with sashes and badges of appointment by the Chief Guest, the Guest of Honour and the House Mistresses. This elite team of Prefects was led by the Junior School Captain Rudraksh Singh, Junior School Vice Captain Nivedita Chikkara, Junior School Sports Captain Sangita Pramanik and Junior School Sports Vice Captain Ankur Koley. The Principal,Dr (Mrs) Reeta Gupta administered the oath to the Prefectorial Council. She congratulated the newly appointed council members and reminded them that they are the torch bearers of the values that the school stands for. She inspired the budding leaders to not only guide but also inspire the students under their care with their strategic planning, problem solving , organizational and communication skills. She also called upon them to fulfill their responsibilities with integrity and commitment.
The programme was a great success with the wholehearted cooperation of all the teachers under the guidance of the Head Mistress, Mamta Singh and the Wing Cordinator, Lalita Gaur.
