Investiture Ceremony at Army Public School, Meerut Cant

Meerut : 04th August 2022, witnessed the Investiture ceremony of Army Public School, wherein 152 newly elected members of the Prefectorial Board Swore in to the various posts of the council. Investiture Ceremony is an occasion where newly elected Prefect Body of Student Council  steps into the leadership role and takes an oath to deliver their duties promptly thus striving to impact the school community positively on the success path. The young leaders not only guide but also inspire other students on how to make a difference with their strategic planning,  problem-solving and  communication skills.

Sawej Chaudhary and Aastha Chikara Swore in as the School Head Boy and School Head Girl for the Session 2022 – 23. The core team of student council comprises of Sports Captain, Deputy Sports Captain, Literary Secretary-Hindi and Literary Secretary-English, Cultural Secretary, Deputy cultural Secretary, and NCC Drill Marshal. In addition to the core team, the four houses namely Cariappa, Manekshaw, Sunderji and Vaidya also elected their representatives under various portfolios for the smooth execution of the various activities throughout the year. The Prefectorial board comprises of Students from class VI to XII. The ceremony witnessed the enthusiastic students brimming with zeal and exuberance to face their duties with responsibilities.

Col. (Dr.) Naresh Goyal was invited as the Chief guest to grace the occasion. Col. Goyal, in his speech motivated the students with his expert advice and experience. He served the Indian Army for an illustrious 30 years. Presently, Col. Naresh is the Executive Director of Dewan V S Group of Institutions since August 2014, where he is head of all professional institutions of Dewan Group.

Addressing the newly elected student council members, Dr. Mrs. Reeta Gupta, Principal APS Meerut, emphasised on the importance of utilising ones powers with responsibility. She shared important leadership qualities which helps one render the best output from the team.

The students were congratulated on their new roles and entrusted with the belief of taking the school to greater heights.
