Hindu Organizations Burn Effigy to Protest Terror Attack in Jammu & Kashmir

Meerut, April 23, 2025 : In the wake of the recent terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir, members of various Hindu organizations gathered outside the Commissioner’s Office in Meerut to voice their outrage and demand strict action against the perpetrators. As a symbolic gesture of protest, the demonstrators burned an effigy representing terrorism, condemning the cowardly assault that shook the nation.

The protest drew participants from multiple local groups united in their grief and anger over the attack, which targeted innocent civilians in the Pahalgam region. Chanting slogans against terrorism and expressing solidarity with the victims, the protestors called on the central government to take firm and decisive action to eliminate the threat of terror from the valley.

Speaking to the crowd, a representative of the protesting organizations said,

“This was not just an attack on individuals, but an attack on India’s integrity and humanity. We demand justice for the lives lost and a strong response to those who continue to breed terror on our soil.”

Security personnel were present to maintain order as the demonstration remained peaceful but emotionally charged. The effigy burning was a symbolic call for national unity and zero tolerance toward terrorism.

This protest in Meerut is part of a wider national response, with citizens across various cities expressing shock, grief, and anger following the targeted killings in Kashmir.
