Health First: Gaur Cascades Hosts Family Health Card and Ayushman Card Camp for Needy Workers

Rajnagar Extension | May 2, 2025 – In a significant step toward community health empowerment, a Family Health Card and Ayushman Card Camp was successfully organized at Gaur Cascades Society in Rajnagar Extension. The initiative, a joint effort by the Federation of Rajnagar Extension Societies (FRENS) and Vardan Multispeciality Hospital, aims to support underprivileged families with better access to healthcare services.

The camp, which began at 11:00 AM, saw an encouraging turnout and focused on extending healthcare benefits to the society’s support staff and economically weaker sections. According to Dr. Subodh Gupta, Senior Vice President of FRENS, 250 employees received Family Health Cards, which cover not just the cardholder but their entire family. These cards provide free and discounted medical services, ensuring essential healthcare becomes more accessible to those who need it the most.

“Those who were unable to collect their cards today can approach the federation representative available in the society premises,” Dr. Gupta added.

In addition to family health cards, 15 senior citizens aged 70 and above were issued Ayushman Bharat Cards, offering them further protection under India’s flagship health insurance scheme. Abhinav Tyagi, Senior Secretary of the Federation, highlighted the launch of a free ambulance service for all senior citizens in Rajnagar Extension, exclusively for services at Vardan Hospital.

Sachin Tyagi, President of the Federation, emphasized the broader vision behind the campaign. “Each cardholder and their family are entitled to 12 free medical consultations annually, along with diagnostic support and discounts on medicines at Vardan Hospital. The goal is to ensure no family in need is left behind,” he said. He further urged office-bearers of other societies in the region to reach out to the FRENS executive committee or the women’s wing “Matrishakti” to arrange similar camps.

With such initiatives, FRENS continues to set a powerful example of grassroots healthcare advocacy, ensuring community development begins with the well-being of every individual.
