Grand Celebration of Krishna Janmashtami at CG DAV Public School, Shastri Nagar, Meerut

Meerut: The premises of CG DAV Public School, Shastri Nagar, were filled with festive cheer as the school celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The event was organized with the aim of instilling strong roots of Indian culture in the minds of the students.

The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, Dr. Alpana Sharma, Regional Officer of DAV Noida Area A, who graced the occasion with her presence. All guests were warmly welcomed with planters as a token of appreciation.

The celebration, organized by students of classes 4 and 5, began with a meditative invocation to Lord Krishna, followed by a captivating tableau depicting the joyous scenes of Krishna’s birth. The students then presented a group dance, mesmerizing the audience with their synchronized movements.

Avni Chauhan delivered a speech highlighting the significance of Krishna Janmashtami, enriching the audience with insights into the cultural and spiritual importance of the festival. The program continued with an enchanting depiction of the “Makhan Chor” tableau, where little Krishna was seen stealing butter, a scene that brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

Anya then performed a solo dance, followed by a lively Dandiya dance, a tribute to Lord Krishna’s favorite pastime. The celebration concluded with the distribution of “Mishri” as prasad to all attendees, marking the end of a joyous and spiritually uplifting event.

The Principal of the school, Mrs. Aparna Jain, lauded the program, praising the efforts of the students and wishing everyone a happy Janmashtami. The Supervisor of the Primary Wing, Mrs. Samiksha Agarwal, also commended the students, encouraging them for their enthusiastic participation.

The Krishna Janmashtami celebration at CG DAV Public School was not just a cultural event but a beautiful journey into the rich traditions of India, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone present.
