FRENS Federation Unveils New Initiatives for Raj Nagar Extension: Focus on Health, Cleanliness, and Community Welfare
Ghaziabad : The Federation of Raj Nagar Extension Societies (FRENS) held a significant executive meeting on November 10, 2024, at the Club Hall of Ashiana Palm Court Society. The meeting, which lasted for nearly two and a half hours, saw the participation of various society leaders and discussed a range of community welfare initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life in Raj Nagar Extension.
Health Cards for Underprivileged Families
One of the key highlights of the meeting was the introduction of a health support initiative for the underprivileged families of society employees, including security guards, gardeners, sanitation workers, and domestic helpers. According to Federation President Sachin Tyagi, the initiative will provide free “Family Health Cards” to these families, ensuring access to essential healthcare services.
These health cards will be distributed through dedicated health camps organized in various societies, in collaboration with the renowned Vardan Multi-Specialty Hospital. The responsibility for the successful implementation of this initiative has been assigned to the women’s wing of FRENS, known as “Matrushakti.”
“This initiative will ensure that the underprivileged families in our community receive the healthcare support they deserve,” said Sachin Tyagi.
Tackling Waste Management and Cleanliness Issues
With the growing concern over waste accumulation and improper disposal in the area, the federation has decided to take stringent measures. Vice President Krishna Kumar Yadav has been tasked with addressing these issues by coordinating with local authorities and elected representatives to find a sustainable and permanent solution. The plan includes meetings with senior officials and consistent follow-ups through formal communications.
Respectful Disposal of Religious Items
Senior Vice President Dr. Subodh Gupta announced a thoughtful initiative aimed at the respectful disposal of broken idols and worship materials. In collaboration with the Pawan Chintan Dhara Ashram, FRENS plans to collect these items from society premises and dispose of them in an eco-friendly manner. This initiative not only aims to maintain cleanliness but also respects the religious sentiments of the residents.
Grand New Year Celebration and Fire Safety Advocacy
Looking ahead, the federation is also planning a grand New Year celebration for the community. General Secretary Dr. Seema Sharma has been assigned the task of organizing this event. Additionally, the longstanding demand for a dedicated fire station in Raj Nagar Extension is set to be pushed with greater intensity, focusing on the safety and security of the residents.
Plastic-Free Campaign During Maha Kumbh
In an effort to promote environmental awareness, FRENS has proposed a plastic-free campaign during the upcoming Maha Kumbh event. This initiative aims to educate the public on reducing plastic waste and preserving the environment, especially during large gatherings.
Victory on the Post Office Front
In a positive development, President Sachin Tyagi shared the good news regarding the establishment of a dedicated post office (PIN Code: 201017) in Raj Nagar Extension. This long-pending request from the community has finally seen progress, thanks to continuous efforts and follow-ups with senior postal officials and public representatives. An advertisement from the Indian Postal Department confirmed the commencement of work on this project, marking a significant win for the residents.
