Free Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive Successfully Held at Asmee Foundation in Collaboration with Seva Bharti
Indirapuram, April 29, 2025 – In a significant step towards promoting menstrual hygiene and women’s health, a free sanitary pad distribution program was successfully conducted today at Asmee Foundation, Indirapuram, in collaboration with Seva Bharti, Rajnagar Extension.
Under this initiative, around 100 packets of sanitary pads were distributed to women from underprivileged families. The event also included an awareness session on the benefits of using sanitary pads and proper disposal practices, aiming to reduce stigma and improve hygiene among participants.
The program was spearheaded by Dr. Bharti Garg, Founder-Director of Asmee Foundation, along with Priyanka Gupta, In-charge of the Skill Development Centre. Raini Agarwal represented Seva Bharti and played an active role in organizing the event. Several dedicated volunteers also contributed to making the event a success.
Expressing her gratitude, Dr. Bharti Garg thanked Seva Bharti for their collaborative efforts and announced that such programs would now be held monthly, with the continued support of Seva Bharti. Raini Agarwal appreciated Dr. Garg’s commitment and emphasized the need to expand this initiative further.
The event was part of Seva Bharti Mahanagar Ghaziabad’s ongoing outreach under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, promoting health and hygiene in every section of society.
Program Coordinator Manoj Agarwal confirmed that the initiative would now be held regularly every month to reach more women in need.
This joint effort stands as a positive example of community-led change and highlights the importance of menstrual health awareness as an essential aspect of women’s dignity and well-being.
